Looking at the morning data around 8 am. in Des Moines, Iowa.
We set up in Nebraska City, NE where we could get some high
speed internet. Instability was very high, but there was no lift to set
anything off.
Around 4 pm we moved into the path of a shower just east of
Lincoln, NE. There were some outflow winds, but only a few drops of rain. We
remained here the rest of the afternoon watching some cumulus build then fall
apart.

Flying out of Chicago on May 8 I finally see a towering
cumulus cloud.
