Chase route
Left work early to head to the cells visible from Oklahoma City. This would
be my first actual chasing test of the GPS
chasecam. Ended up losing cell coverage on the Indian Nations Turnpike, but
system seemed to work fine until then. Got into the storms east of McAlester,
too many hills and trees to see much, though. I ran into a wall cloud near Red
Oak, but it dissipated pretty quickly. A few minutes later a tornado warning was
issued for the cell. Later I found a local storm report of some damage in the
Red Oak area, my GPS logs showing me to be within a couple of miles at the
time... Oh, well.
